What is Psi and why is it important to understand what it is when buying a pump? Knowing the answer of what is Psi will affect your choice of solar water pump.
Psi stands for pounds per square inch. In other words, it is the pressure found in any enclosed system. Typically, on a municipal water supply, the static water pressure will be 30-60 pounds per square inch.
The rated psi of our DC water pumps is the pressure the pump can handle. It is not the pressure the pump generates.
Solar hot water circulating pumps can be used for many different projects. Understanding the technical aspects of how they work can help you to troubleshoot problems. It can also help you understand what pump is best for your needs.
